Manama, November 13 (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a congratulatory cable from Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, on the occasion of the success of the 2022 parliamentary and municipal elections with a record turnout of 73%.
The reforms laid down by His Majesty the King led to a high national awareness demonstrated by Bahrainis who were faithful to their commitments and loyal to the values and principles of reforms that would consolidate the nation’s progress and democracy in all circumstances and stages. Minister said.
Sheikh Rashid said that the high participation in the elections across Bahrain was a strong message that reflects the patriotism of the people.
The minister added that Bahrainis are proud of their loyalty and stand firmly behind the leadership of His Majesty the King so that Bahrain remains safe and stable, and advances towards a future in which the people exercise their constitutional and democratic rights and assume their national responsibilities.
He pointed out that this includes electing members of the House of Representatives and municipal councils under full judicial supervision and in an atmosphere of freedom and democracy.
