Manama, Jan. 1 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent a cable of condolences to His Holiness Pope Francis, Head of the Catholic Church, following the death of former Pope Benedict XVI.
His Majesty the King offered his sincere condolences and sympathy to His Holiness Pope Francis, the family of the deceased and their relatives, and all friendly countries, wishing His Holiness the late Pope mercy and forgiveness.
His Majesty the King praised the efforts made by the late Pope Benedict XVI to spread a culture of peace, love and peaceful coexistence among peoples all over the world.
