HM King arrives in Saudi Arabia to participate in Jeddah Security and Development Summit

Jeddah, July 16 (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the head of the Kingdom’s delegation to the Jeddah Summit for Security and Development scheduled to be held later today.

His Majesty King Hamad will participate in the main summit at the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Upon his arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, His Majesty was received by the Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.

Upon his arrival, His Majesty the King made a statement expressing his pride in the strong and long-term relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples, and the bonds of affection, appreciation and respect that exist between them.

His Majesty the King expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz for inviting him to attend the Jeddah Summit for Security and Development.

His Majesty stressed that the important summit provides an opportunity to strengthen the strong strategic partnership between “our brotherly countries and the friendly United States” to open new horizons for joint cooperation in various vital fields, confront the challenges facing the region, and unify joint efforts. – Protecting regional security and stability, defending global interests, and realizing the aspirations of the peoples of the region for peace, development and prosperity.

His Majesty the King praised the “effective and vital” role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques at the regional and international levels, noting its dedicated and permanent endeavors to deepen the rapprochement between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and their friendly allies. Strengthening the pillars of regional and global security, stability and peace, expressing the hope that the summit will contribute to achieving the aspirations of the peoples of the participating countries for more security, peace, progress and prosperity.

A convoy of honor, led by the Minister of the Saudi National Guard, His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, was formed to accompany His Majesty the King during his participation in the summit.
