Manama, February 15 (BNA) The Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council and Vice-Chairman of its Board of Trustees, Dr. Sheikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, visited the Vatel Tourism Hotel. College of Business, where she met with its Director General, Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
The meeting was attended by the Executive Vice President of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, a member of the board of trustees of the authority, Fatima Jaafar Al-Serafi, and members of the administrative and academic body of Vatel Colleges.
Sheikha Rana inspects the teaching and training facilities of the college. It was also informed of its curricula and development plans aimed at hosting and attracting students from different countries to study and train in Bahrain.
She commended the college’s readiness to welcome students and provide high-quality educational services that reflect the role of higher education institutions in promoting other sectors such as tourism to ensure optimal investment in national competencies and improve performance, in accordance with the economic recovery plan and the objectives of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
She praised the efforts made by college officials to develop the higher education system in the Kingdom, stressing the keenness of the Higher Education Council to create an atmosphere that attracts investments in education, and to launch projects aimed at improving the higher education sector to ensure its security. Graduating generations equipped with the skills required by the labor market.
