HH Shaikh Nasser hails BREEF-PFA agreement to treat children with autism through equine therapy

Manama, November 7 (BNA) His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Honorary President of the Bahrain Equestrian and Endurance Federation, praised the agreement signed between the Bahrain Equestrian and Sports Foundation. The Princess Alia Foundation (PAF) in Jordan.

The agreement aims to achieve constructive cooperation in the field of humanitarian work and the rehabilitation of children with autism.

He added that the agreement is in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, King of Jordan, and strengthens relations between the two countries.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser emphasized that Bahrain thrives in humanitarian work, including sports, in promoting the rehabilitation and treatment of children with autism through equine therapy.

Bahrain has achieved many successes in this aspect after agreeing with the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination in the United Arab Emirates with its outstanding record of successes in rehabilitating children.

His Highness explained that the BREEF – PFA agreement reflects their productive relations within the scope of joint social and humanitarian work, encourages social, humanitarian and national work and expands its scope, and activates the partnership between them to achieve their goals.

The agreement was signed by His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa, President of BREEF, and Her Royal Highness Princess Alia Al Hussein, President of the Pakistan Federation.

His Highness Sheikh Issa conveyed the greetings and appreciation of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and stressed that the agreement reflects His Highness’ directives to cooperate with various institutions in the field of rehabilitating children with autism as a national and humanitarian duty.

He pointed out that there is no doubt that the BREEF Foundation has great experiences and aspirations in developing goals aimed at rehabilitating children with autism, based on experiences from the agreement with the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination.

“We are pleased today to sign an agreement with the Princess Alia Foundation that will have a significant impact on the continuation of humanitarian work between the two brotherly countries in the rehabilitation and treatment of children with autism,” he said.

“The prominent role of the Princess Alia Foundation in rehabilitating children with autism through treating them with equine therapy and its various programs will help us gain many experiences, especially since the agreement provides for the provision of various programs, visits and training between the two countries.”

He added, “The agreement will benefit both parties, especially as they have extensive experience in this aspect, which will contribute to achieving the desired goals. I extend my thanks and appreciation to the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation for its efforts.”

The agreement provides for cooperation in many areas, goals and initiatives to contribute to the rehabilitation and treatment of children with autism through equine therapy.

Under the agreement, each party appoints a coordinator whose job it is to submit reports that recommend joint activities and events.
