Manama, Jan. 3 (BNA): The Royal Bahraini Equestrian and Endurance Federation is organizing the “Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Endurance Championship” at the Bahrain International Endurance Village on Friday and Tuesday.
The event is being held based on the directives of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Honorary President of the Bahraini Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, under the auspices of the First Deputy. His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Public Authority for Sports, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
Sponsored by the Labor Fund (Tamkeen), the championship will witness, in addition to Ascon, international and local races, with the wide participation of stables and riders. In this regard, BREEF will receive entries for all categories until Tuesday.
On this occasion, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his appreciation for the outstanding efforts made by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad to promote endurance sports in Bahrain, indicating that His Highness’s support for the stables and riders will lead to fierce competition among the participants to reach the podium.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser affirmed that the Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Endurance Championship has always been an important event in which riders compete and perform well, adding that it provides a platform for discovering young talents who will be able to represent the Kingdom in various types of outdoor endurance. gatherings.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser indicated that last year’s edition witnessed strong and open competition between riders and stables, indicating that this year’s championship will be successful due to the high level of participants. He also wished success to all participating stables and jockeys.
