Manama, November 29 (BNA) His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, posted a picture on his Instagram account, including a message for teachers.
In the photo, His Highness Sheikh Nasser commented on a message he received from a teacher regarding his children’s exams, saying, “This is what I call the ‘real teacher’.”
The teacher wrote in his letter to His Highness Sheikh Nasser:
“Dear Parents… Your children’s exams will start soon, and I know they are all really keen to do well in them. Please remember that among the students who are going to take exams there is an artist who does not need to understand mathematics and a businessman who does not care about history or English language and literature. There Also a musician whose chemical signs mean nothing to him, and an athlete whose physique is more important than physics. If your child gets the highest score, that would be great!”
“However, if he or she fails to do so, do not make them lose their self-confidence, self-respect and dignity. Tell them that they are okay, that it is nothing more than a test and that they will be tested for much greater things in life. Reassure them that no matter what outcome they get. On them in exams, you will always love them and you will never judge them by their grades. Please do this, and when you do, watch your children conquer the world. If they score high, that will be great, but if they don’t, support their dreams and talents. Please do not think that doctors and engineers are the only happy ones in the world… With my best wishes for success,” Al Muallem added in his letter to His Highness Sheikh Nasser.
