HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad updated about preliminary natural gas results

Manama, Jan. 10 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oil and Gas Holding Company (nogaholding), received the preliminary results of the reception of His Majesty the King. Ryder Scott Consulting Company on the discoveries related to the natural gas reservoir located under the “Unaizah” reservoir.

Ryder Scott, a consulting firm with long experience, worked on evaluating oil and gas resources and reserves with Tatweer Petroleum to certify the discovered quantities and gas production quantities in the field.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed his happiness with the preliminary results, which he described as excellent and paving the way for further evaluation and study.

He praised the efforts made by Ryder Scott and Tatweer Petroleum in this important project, which will contribute to achieving the Kingdom’s economic vision 2030.

He stressed the importance of new natural gas discoveries, which will contribute significantly to achieving the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Evaluation and testing work began following the official announcement last November of the discovery of two new natural gas reserves in each of the “Al-Jawba” and “Al-Jouf” layers located under “Al-Khaf” and “Onaiza”. Natural gas producing reservoirs in Bahrain.
