Manama, May 30 (BNA): The Bahrain national football team won the award for the best team in the Giro d’Italia tournament.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, praised this achievement.
HH Sheikh Nasser also praised the performance of the victorious Bahraini cyclist Mikel Land, who finished third in the ITT final in Verona.
“This achievement reflects Bahrain’s victorious position in European competitions,” he said, praising the cyclists’ keenness to perform well and continue their successful performances.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa wished Bahrain’s continued victory in the upcoming tournaments, describing the Giro d’Italia’s performance as an incentive for the team to continue reaping achievements.
