Manama, May 31 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa today witnessed the graduation ceremony of Riffa Views International School (RVIS) at the Bahrain National Theatre.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman affirmed that creativity, innovation and intelligence continue to guide Bahraini citizens to achieve the comprehensive development goals of the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman expressed his pride in the Kingdom’s graduates, adding that completing their education is an important step towards securing a bright future.
His Highness congratulated the graduates for their determination and perseverance throughout their studies, encouraging them to continue their higher education with the same diligence. His Highness concluded his speech by inviting the students to use their skills and knowledge to help achieve the current and future development goals of the Kingdom.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the RVIS Board of Trustees, Atif Ahmed Abdulmalik, congratulated the 2023 graduates and wished them success in their future endeavours.
Abdulmalek indicated that 12 of the 35 graduates had their full education from kindergarten through twelfth grade at RVIS. On the fifteenth anniversary of the school, Abdulmalik pledged that RVIS will continue to pursue its vision of creating a world-class educational environment that complies with international education standards and preserves the customs and traditions of the Kingdom.
For his part, Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, member of the RVIS Board of Trustees, indicated that RVIS is an incubator that provides smart learning opportunities through its approaches to software development, artificial intelligence, robotics and technical thinking methods. He expressed pride in the graduates who had to adapt their learning to global events such as the Covid-19 pandemic, referring to this flexibility as a skill acquired through their education.
His Highness Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Mubarak congratulated the eighth batch of students for their success, dedication and diligence, wishing them continued success in their future endeavors.
The graduation ceremony began with the exit of the graduates’ queue, the chanting of the Bahraini national anthem, and the recitation of the Holy Qur’an delivered by the student, Sheikh Mubarak bin Abdul Aziz Al Khalifa.
Joe Garrahy, School President at RVIS, then gave the opening remarks, followed by remarks from the Board of Trustees and then a speech from Samantha Cortez on behalf of the faculty.
Then the principal of the secondary school, Lakeshia Denson, handed certificates of excellence to the graduates, and presented scarves in appreciation of their efforts, before the graduate, Abdulaziz Abdul Malik, delivered a speech to the graduates of the eighth batch.
The graduation ceremony included 35 students, the eighth cohort of RVIS graduates.
