HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak chairs the weekly Cabinet meeting

Manama, February 28 (BNA) His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, chaired today the weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers at Al-Qudaibiya Palace.


The Cabinet commended the visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Royal Bahraini Air Force to celebrate the 54th anniversary of the establishment of the Bahrain Defense Force. In this regard, the Cabinet noted His Majesty’s commitment to support the continuous development of the Bahrain Defense Force by providing its units with the latest technologies and equipment.


The Cabinet stressed the importance of establishing responsibility and accountability to protect public money. In this regard, the Council of Ministers directed all parties to cooperate with the National Audit Bureau.


The Council of Ministers also discussed during the meeting several memoranda with the following results:


Agree to the following notes:


1- Memorandum of the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs on draft memoranda of understanding and executive programs between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman with the aim of supporting bilateral cooperation in various fields.


2- A memorandum by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs on a draft memorandum of understanding between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America to enhance cooperation between the two countries.


3- A memorandum by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs regarding the government’s response to five proposals and law proposals submitted by the House of Representatives and a proposed law submitted by the Shura Council.

The Cabinet reviewed the following topics:


1- A memorandum on the electronic transformation of the service of issuing and renewing licenses for real estate professionals at the Real Estate Regulatory Agency, which will contribute to providing a 24-hour service.


The Council also reviewed the report of the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism regarding participation in the Sixteenth Arab International Conference on Mineral Resources.
