BBK, Bahrain Duty Free, Rotary support Forever Green

Manama, February 28 (BNA) The National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD) announced that it has received support from the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait to plant Sheikh Salman Street in the Northern Governorate and from Rotary International and Bahrain. The duty-free market of Sheikh Salman Street on the eastern side of A’ali in the Southern Governorate.


The Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait supported the national afforestation campaign “Forever Green” with 2575 trees and shrubs on Sheikh Salman Street in the Northern Governorate.


The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Salman Street in the Northern Governorate, the Secretary General of Niyad Sheikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa, the General Manager of the North Municipality Lamia Al-Fadala, the CEO of BBK Dr. Abdulrahman Saif, Hassan Burshid, the CEO of Human Resources and Administration for BBK. Head of Corporate Communication Zain Al-Zayani, Director of Corporate Communication at BBK Rafa Kaddoura and a number of municipal council members and those interested in environmental work.


The ceremony was attended by the eastern side of A’ali in the Southern Governorate, the Director General of the Southern Municipality, Asim Abdullatif, the President of the Rotary Club of Manama, the President of Osama Al-Moayad, the founder and Chairman of Badr Farid Badr Group, and the head of Entrepreneurship Support Sujat Amin. Municipal member Abdullah Abdullatif and voluntary participation of 25 employees and 15 students from the Laurel Center for Global Education.


These agricultural projects come as part of the national campaign for afforestation “Forever Green” to increase green areas in various streets of the Kingdom, in addition to reducing the effects of climate change resulting from increased carbon emissions.
