HH Shaikh Khalid launches 2022 BRAVE International Combat Week

Manama, March 8 (BNA): His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Public Authority for Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee. The opening day was attended by a group of ministers and senior officials.


His Highness Sheikh Khalid affirmed that Bahrain has become an ideal destination for major sporting events on the continental and international levels thanks to the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince. “We have mapped out our vision to support the sport of mixed martial arts which is now the center of attention from all over the world. Bahrain has made tremendous achievements in this sport, foremost among them is the IMMAF classification as well as the introduction of the BRAVE CF,” he said.


“The Kingdom is the preferred destination for IMMAF after gaining the confidence and trust of the federation after organizing three very successful world championships. As a result, we obtained the rights to host and organize the first edition of the MMA Super Cup.”


He stated that the Brave CF 57 represented a great opportunity for professional fighters to face each other. His Highness Sheikh Khaled added that “the event will witness three important battles, the most important of which is Hamza Al-Kooheji’s battle against Brad Katona.”
