Manama, Jan. 8 (BNA) Chairman of the Board of Directors of Riffa Club, Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa, praised the tremendous efforts made by the First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Sports Authority. The authority and the President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to promote the youth and sports movement in the Kingdom.
He stressed that the initiatives of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Thani contributed to the development of work in the national clubs, and the removal of obstacles to the promotion of professionalism and good governance in their departments.
He added that His Highness’ recent visits to national clubs have yielded positive results, noting the reduction in electricity and water costs in club buildings.
He also praised the directives of His Highness the Sheikh to pay the rewards to all the players of the national teams who achieved good results during the past two years.
He also congratulated His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad on his unopposed re-election as Chairman of the Central Bank.
