HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali honoured by Arab League

Cairo, Feb. 26 (BNA): The League of Arab States awarded the Arab Sustainable Development Pioneers Award to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, Honorary President of the Good Word Society, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, in appreciation of her. Of His Highness’s prominent role in promoting voluntary and development work, as well as in achieving sustainable development (SDGs 2030) at the Arab level.

His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Ali was honored during a ceremony held at the Arab League headquarters here, under the auspices of the Secretary General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

Representatives of governments, Arab organizations and civil society attended the event, which was held on the occasion of the Arab Sustainability Day.

During the ceremony, many prominent Arab personalities working in the fields of sustainable development were also honored.

On this occasion, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa expressed his thanks and appreciation to the League of Arab States and its Secretary General for their appreciation of volunteer work and sustainable development efforts, expressing his pride in the Arab Sustainability Day.

He stressed that Bahrain is proud of a well-developed institutional infrastructure and a widely recognized development process that was achieved thanks to the unlimited support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the sincere efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to enhance the march of Bahraini society and achieve Bahrain’s economic vision 2030.

He recalled the contributions of the late His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa in voluntary and development work, stressing that His Highness’s development and humanitarian initiatives and stances will always remain in the memory of Bahrain, in particular, and in the Arab and Islamic worlds, in general.
