HH National Security Advisor attends unveiling of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s statue at RMAS

London, May 27 / BNA / The National Security Adviser and Commander of the Royal Guard Major General His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa visited the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) in the United Kingdom, where he met His Highness the Emir. Edward, Earl of Wessex and son of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and Commander of the Royal Moroccan Army Major General Duncan Capps.


His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Mohammed Al Thani attended the unveiling ceremony of the statue of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at the Royal Palace, as part of the platinum jubilee celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the accession of Her Majesty the Queen to the throne.


His Highness the National Security Adviser stressed the depth of the long-term friendship between the two kingdoms, which is growing steadily at all levels, especially with regard to the exchange of experiences and military cooperation.


His Highness the Sheikh also met with a number of Bahraini officer candidates studying at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, wishing them success in their studies, and urging them to benefit from the prestigious Military Academy programs and vocational training.


His Highness Sheikh Nasser praised the great role played by the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in preparing qualified officers and refining their skills to be able to keep pace with the latest technological developments in various military sciences.


The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom Sheikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
