Dr. Al-Manea affirmed the Ministry’s support for the efforts and initiatives that contribute to combating non-communicable chronic diseases, especially obesity.
He highlighted the cooperation between Nestlé Bahrain Trading Company and the Ministry of Health to reduce risk factors and promote a healthy lifestyle in Bahrain.
The two sides discussed the initiatives offered by Nestlé Bahrain Trading Company, including the “Healthy Generations” project to reduce obesity among school students, and the visit of experts from the Nestlé Research Center to Bahrain to classify food and reduce the proportion of salt in food products.
The General Manager of Nestlé Bahrain Training Company renewed his commitment to increase cooperation, especially in the fields of training, by holding training workshops for those interested in this field, and to educate and promote health in Bahraini society.
The meeting was also attended by the medical director of Nestlé Bahrain Training Company, David Georgi, and the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health, Dr. Ijlal Al-Alawi.
