Health Ministry: required measures taken to protect consumers’ safety

Manama, April 12 (BNA) The Ministry of Health said that it has taken all necessary measures to protect the safety of consumers.


She said that the Food Control Inspectors of the Public Health Directorate surveyed Kinder chocolate products and found that they were not available in local markets.


The ministry said it is following up on warnings about some Kinder chocolate products that have been recalled from global markets due to salmonella concerns, as well as notifications issued by the International Network of Food Safety Officials (Infosan).


The ministry said in a statement today, that such products are subject to the required laboratory tests to ensure consumer safety, adding that there is no need to panic or worry.
