Health ministry marks World Immunisation Week

Manama, April 28 (BNA) Under the patronage of the Minister of Health, Faeqa bint Saeed Al-Saleh, Public Health organized the World Immunization Week 2022 ceremony entitled “Long life for all”.


The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Walid Al-Manea, emphasized the efficiency and safety of the permitted vaccines during the COVID-19 pandemic.


Dr. Al-Manea stressed that the Kingdom is committed to the prevention of infectious diseases targeted by vaccination by working to implement health strategies, developing and following up on the progress of action plans and indicators of local programs, and strengthening national capabilities in this field through integration between all levels of health care.


He indicated that vaccination activities will continue to be implemented in Bahrain, but this week’s activities have a major role in raising community awareness and urging all community members to request immunization services.
