Manama, Dec. 22 (BNA): Minister of Health, Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, affirmed the essential role played by the Bahrain Pharmacists Association as an active partner of the Ministry of Health in enhancing quality and effectiveness. The efficiency of the services provided by the health sector, especially with regard to its keenness to develop the profession of pharmacist and to qualify specialized competencies.
The Minister was speaking during her reception here today, in the presence of the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health, Dr. Maryam Al-Hajri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Pharmacists Association, Rehab Al-Nuaimi, and members.
The minister discussed with the delegation ways to enhance cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the Bahraini Pharmacists Society, especially in training and qualifying specialized Bahraini cadres, especially in the field of pharmaceutical industries.
Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan pointed out the Ministry of Health’s keenness to train and qualify national cadres, noting that through the Bahrain Council for Health Studies and Specializations, training and scholarship needs are being studied and coordinated with health authorities. Ensuring the availability of qualified personnel that meet the needs of the Kingdom in light of the implementation of the health insurance system.
The minister welcomed the initiatives launched by the Bahrain Pharmacists Association, citing the Pharmacists Conference in February 2023, stressing the Ministry of Health’s support for such events.
Rehab Al Nuaimi praised the great role played by the Ministry of Health in developing health services in the Kingdom, highlighting its support for the Bahrain Pharmacists Association.
She indicated that the Bahrain Pharmacists Society is keen to continue its efforts to enhance health services in all health facilities.
