Manama, May 16 (BNA) The Gulf Hotels Group has signed an agreement to operate a hotel in Georgia, making it its first project in Europe.
Farouk Al Moayyed, Chairman of Gulf Hotels Group, said that Gulf Hotels Group will manage the four-star Gulf Aquamarine Hotel in Tbilisi.
He said after the signing ceremony that the strategic partnership will provide international levels of hospitality to Georgian operations and will focus on increasing tourism from the main Gulf countries to Georgia.
Geno Holdings will provide Bahraini hospitality and restaurant operations for the new project.
“This hotel will lay a solid foundation for the group’s global expansion plan,” Almoayyed said.
“We are here to build great experiences and what we hope will be the beginning of promoting tourism and economic exchange between Bahrain and Georgia.”
“We are looking to the Middle East and Saudi markets to explore avenues of expansion and new projects, and this will come at the right time.”
President of N&G Dr. Nodari Georgadze said the project would be a very positive step forward for Georgia and Georgians as well as for all the peoples of the Gulf countries.
“It is a private project between Gulf Hotels Group and Geno Holdings,” he said.
This cooperation will promote tourism in the Gulf and Georgia. Citizens of Gulf countries can visit us in Georgia and Georgians can visit Gulf countries. The two countries can work together to build bridges between the two countries.”
Bahrain and Georgia have different seasons that residents of both countries can enjoy while visiting.
“The Gulf countries have very nice sun and weather but no snow in the winter. In Georgia we have snow in the winter when the weather is nice in the winter with plenty of sunshine outside. In Georgia in the winter we have snow for skiing. In the summer when the weather is good It is very hot in the Gulf countries, it is a good time to visit Georgia for swimming and rest. So, this is a good cooperation between the countries.”
He added that the mentality of Arabs and Georgians is very similar.
He said, “We both have great respect for women. We respect the elderly and the elderly, and we give the highest priority to our families, and nothing is more important than them. As is the case today here in Bahrain, my grandson is accompanying me.” .
He said the hotel will open in June, but the Aquapark will open in one week.
Mohamed Bozize, Board Member, Consultant and Business Development Advisor to the Chairman, said they are happy and proud to have won Dr. Nodari’s trust to manage his new hotel in Tbilisi, Georgia.
