Gulf Air launches direct flights to Manchester

Manama, June 1 (BNA): Gulf Air, the Bahraini national carrier, launched its direct flights to Manchester with two flights per week.


Gulf Air Acting Chief Executive Officer, Captain Waleed Al Alawi, said: “We are pleased to announce the launch of our direct line between Bahrain and Manchester as part of the historic official and commercial relations between the two kingdoms.”


“Manchester has been on our horizon for a while due to demand from our customers, and with travel back to normal, we knew the time was right to launch it to our valued passengers. We are sure this new and exciting destination will further strengthen our network in the UK and Europe, and we look forward to serving our passengers to and from Manchester.” , he said at a dinner in Manchester to celebrate the launch of the airline’s newest destination.


Gulf Air will operate a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on its new route, with two weekly flights on Sunday and Wednesday.


The announcement of the launch of the airline’s latest destination coincides with the UK’s celebrations of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s 70-year platinum jubilee.
