Job scope:

Reports to the Director of Communications (DOC), the Assistant Director of Communications is responsible for helping to facilitate all marketing communications relating to hotels, food, beverage and leisure with external clients. Additionally, entry-level exposure to marketing in the position is combined with work through a creative agency, including assistance in developing creative briefs, transcription assistance writing, and assistance in implementing campaigns. The position also entails assisting in gathering promotional information, indoor event photo sessions, preparing standard monthly activity calendars and maintaining the hotel’s website. The Assistant Communications Manager is responsible for the hotel’s tactical social media. Ability to interact comfortably with key departments and suppliers – along with excellent time management skills; Multitasking capabilities and attention to detail are key criteria for this position.

Responsibilities:
To assist the Director of Communications, Director of Communications, Food and Beverage, Director of Sales and Marketing, Rooms, F&B and Entertainment divisions with communications campaigns as required
To assist the DOC in ensuring adherence to hotel and brand standards in all forms of written communication, whether issued by the hotel or the media including guarantees of guest rooms, in-room television system, hotel frontages and brochure racks in the common area.
– To help update and regularly review all hotel and health club outlet information within the hotel guarantees, such as fact sheets, TV guide, in-room guide and website
– To maintain and update hotel materials on the hotel website.
– To compile all monthly marketing communications promotion and social media calendar. To carry out social media calendar updates on Facebook, Twitter and any other social media sites as needed.
Work with DOSM and DOC to develop hotel sales and bids
– To help manage the internal photo library
To assist in the financial management of the communications department by obtaining estimates from suppliers and raising LPOs
– To help develop custom side items as required
– To assist in marketing collateral for sales and marketing events
– Assist in the development of indoor signage
– To provide further support for DOC and DOSM as required.
To provide other support to the Group Public Relations Manager as required
