Governmental hospitals, AGU sign cooperation agreement

Manama, October 18 (BNA) Governmental hospitals and the Arabian Gulf University signed an agreement to enhance and develop cooperation.

The Vice President of the Arab Gulf University, Abdul Rahman Yousef Ismail, and the CEO of government hospitals, Ahmed Muhammad Al-Ansari, explained the goal of the agreement, which is to invest the experiences and capabilities of both sides to contribute to the development of the health system and building health. A team working in the fields of education, training and scientific research.

The agreement came within the mutual commitment towards excellence in healthcare and clinical training, which is the primary mission of both parties.

Ismail said that this agreement works to provide a stimulating environment for conducting scientific research in accordance with international quality standards (ISO), by training government hospital doctors according to their needs in scientific research curricula, and enabling them to publish in accredited international journals.

The two parties are also trying to promote multicenter studies with an international and regional focus on health-related issues in the GCC countries.

This agreement will also allow both sides to benefit from educational resources such as classrooms, laboratories, specialized medical university centers and libraries, for the purposes of exams, training, holding training workshops and scientific conferences.
