Government Hospitals, George Washington University discuss cooperation

Manama, Dec. 28 (BNA): The CEO of government hospitals, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Ansari, affirmed his keenness to continue coordinating with various specialized educational institutions to involve Bahraini medical and health competencies in educational and training programmes.


He pointed out that the Supreme Council of Health and the Board of Trustees of government hospitals provide all kinds of support to public hospitals to be able to improve their performance at all levels and improve their medical and training reputation, due to their effective role in providing services. Employees of government hospitals with the necessary qualifications and skills to develop the health sector, which will reflect positively on Bahraini society.


Dr. Al-Ansari’s remarks came during her reception here today, Director of International Medicine Programs at George Washington University, based in the United States, Sherine Tobaji, and her accompanying delegation.


During the meeting, the CEO of government hospitals was briefed on the programs offered at George Washington University, which would train resident physicians and refine their abilities and qualifications according to an integrated global training program.


Sherine Tobaji praised the keenness of government hospitals to encourage efforts to attract international programs and to build global partnerships between them and international health organizations, which would provide the health sector with professional cadres and enhance the outputs of this vital sector.
