Global COVID-19 cases cross 233.75 million; death toll at 4,986,383

London, Oct. 1 / BNA / Reuters reports that more than 233.75 million people have been infected with the new Corona virus worldwide, and 4,986,383 people have died.

Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and regions since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.

The United States has the highest confirmed cases and deaths in the world at 4,344,448 and 696,951 respectively.
