GIB announced as ESG partner

Manama, Dec. 27 (BNA): The Middle East Sustainability Forum announced today that Gulf International Bank (GIB) is the (ESG Partner) in its upcoming inaugural edition focusing on (Transitioning Business to Net Zero, the Path Toward a Successful Low Carbon Future).


The forum will bring together more than 300 leading decision makers and sustainability experts to discuss regional decarboniShare and exchange experiences and solutions to help the private sector mobilize and implement strategies to achieve net zero goals.


Already a leader in sustainability and a partner to ESG and clients across the region, the Bank launched a comprehensive sustainability strategy in 2021 that places sustainability at the heart of its business and operations.


GIB has also pioneered the use of green financing instruments and is collaborating on a range of initiatives targeting climate action and supporting the net zero ambitions of regional governments, as well as coordinating the issuance of green financing instruments to a range of clients in the GCC.


The program will continue to cover a range of topics including the urgency of achieving net zero goals and the ambitions of governments in the MENA region.


Consisting of a series of keynote speeches, discussion sessions and interactive workshops, the Forum agenda is designed to help businesses across sectors, especially SMEs, understand how to develop effective strategies for sustainability and decarbonisation, and most importantly, how to start taking practical steps.
