Our client was established in 2004 in the United Arab Emirates. It is one of the leading companies in landscape maintenance, natural sports turf design, construction and maintenance in the GCC. Their portfolio consists of a range of projects executed in accordance with international standards and specifications, ranging from five-star golf courses to the Burj Al Arab. They are the first contractor to introduce a sustainable approach to landscape maintenance and where possible offer solutions such as selection of native plants, smart irrigation control systems, integrated pest management, materials and recycling of all biodegradable waste.

Role
The general manager must secure the company’s long-term survival by ensuring that the company’s operations and services meet the needs of customers while generating financial returns for shareholders.

You will be responsible for the effective and successful management of profits and losses, your team, internal operations and services. You will ensure safe and efficient operations while serving as the company’s representative on organizational issues. Team management is key with a highly diverse workforce.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

strategy
To plan and monitor a three-year plan to ensure the company is able to meet the increasing demands of market growth in line with the Group’s strategic direction.
Lead the business development process through new business opportunities / projects.
Formulate marketing/strategic development to translate business plans/strategy into results.
Participate in strategic meetings with partners, suppliers, marketing and between companies and landlords to negotiate commercial terms.
Continuously examine the competitive landscape and technological advancements in the marketplace to identify best practices, emerging trends and innovation opportunities and adapt the sales and marketing strategy accordingly.

CRM
Establishing sound relationships with key clients within the scope of the market to act as a high quality service provider.
Provide superior customer service to clients and subcontractors by responding to customer needs, wanting to customize services and expediting or changing customer orders
– Designing and implementing a strategic business plan that expands the customer base
– Building and promoting strong and long-term relationships with clients by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
Investigate and promptly resolve any customer service issues (including between businesses) to ensure that customer expectations are exceeded every time.

project management
Oversee and ensure that department managers lead the business according to organizational plans
– Evaluating the quality of maintenance work at different sites. Verify that quality standards are maintained, gaps are identified, and recommendations are implemented
Manage and ensure that all KPIs on project sites issued by clients are resolved and that we are above satisfactory ratings at all times
Ensure and monitor operations in a timely manner to avoid delays and penalties
Ensuring employee productivity management to obtain the highest output for the department
– Analyzing market trends and adapting best practices to operations
– Doing budgeting work
– Approval of the cost of various projects
– Frequent project team meetings

Minimum Bachelor’s degree – Agriculture / Horticulture / Agronomy
Minimum 20 years experience in a Turfcare Maintenance/Management role
