Sales Coordinator

This position is designed to provide preparation for an entry level sales position by coordinating internally and maintaining the administrative side of the sales office.

Hotel Overview: The Makkah Clock Royal Tower, a Fairmont hotel, is only a few steps away from the Holy Mosque and the Kaaba. One of the tallest hotels in the world, this 76-storey hotel is the focal point of the Abraj Al Bait complex, part of the King Abdulaziz Endowment Project. The hotel’s genuine hospitality is seen throughout the 858 rooms.

Summary of responsibilities:

Reporting to the Sales Manager includes core job responsibilities and functions including but not limited to the following:

Objectives / Responsibilities

Full knowledge of hotel services and facilities.
Ensure prompt and courteous service to internal and external clients.
Maintaining an orderly work environment.
Attend all sales meetings.

Include responsibilities

– Sort and post incoming/outgoing mail on daily basis
Several times a day, deliver inland mail, faxes and courier packages to and from the sales/catering office
Keep adequate supplies of brochures shelving in the storage room, the pantry in the sales/catering office, and in the main foyer
Organizing and maintaining the filing room on a quarterly basis
– Weekly inventory and restocking in the file room
– Supply Coordinator for the management team
Provide support to other teams within the Sales/Conference Services and Catering department
– Other projects assigned

qualifications

Minimum of High School Diploma and/or Business School and/or Hotel School Diploma is preferred.
Microsoft Work skills required
Sales and Catering at Opera and Opera Property Manager – Experience preferred
– Maintains an orderly work environment

Preferred knowledge/qualifications
Ability to assume the responsibilities of the main operator and operate all technological equipment in the office
– Proven competence in organization and communication skills
– Strong communication and follow-up skills.
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Must be a highly organized person with strong planning skills
Goal and results oriented
– Energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated and has a charismatic team
