General Cashier | Job in Doha, Qatar by AccorHotels | GulfTalent

Position summary:

Responsible for preparing and documenting payroll/overtime in accordance with Accor policies and local law.
Maintaining hotel banks in accordance with policies.
Ensure adherence to daily bank transfer procedures for cash receipts.
– Perform any reasonable task required by the Controller/Executive Director of Finance.

Core business activities:

General Teller Responsibilities:

Ensure that internal bank policies and procedures, remittances and foreign currencies are applied/followed.
Ensure that all floats are backed by approved home bank contracts and that the recipient fully understands the contract as per hotel policy.
– Perform monthly general cashier fund counts and 75% of floats. Each float must be calculated at least every two months per hotel policy.
Witness (by signature) to all safes, open safes and count floats – Settlement with sheet positioning as per hotel policy.
– Daily Banking – Collect bank envelopes from safe, open, account and balances to prepare for banking as per hotel policy.
– Processing petty cash as needed and settling it weekly.
– Preparation, shorts and monthly balance and handed over to the Controller.
Issuing and returning home bank contracts as required and preparing a summary of home bank accounts on a monthly basis as per hotel policy.
– Payment process due daily.
Processing returned checks by the bank.
– Liaising with department heads about cashier problems.
Contact the income auditor.
Monitor hotel exchange rates and adjust them as necessary.

Provide all employees with relevant occupational health and safety information in an appropriate manner;
Ensure that all work is carried out safely and without risks for employees and visitors
Planning to do all work safely.
Provide advice and assistance on occupational health and safety to all employees;
Working on occupational health and safety reports and conducting workplace inspections;
Prepare and participate in occupational health and safety meetings and occupational health and safety programs;
Ensure safe work practices at all times.

Ensure that all accidents are reported to the Director of Occupational Safety and Health
