Gallagher scores 2, Crystal Palace beats Everton 3-1 in EPL

London, December 12 (BNA) Conor Gallagher’s double helped Crystal Palace return to the winning path with a 3-1 victory over its guest Everton in the English Premier League on Sunday.

Palace have lost their previous three games – all by one goal – but that first win since the start of November was well deserved, with James Tomkins also in goal for the hosts, according to the Associated Press.

Salomon Rondon pulled one back for Everton in the 70th minute but Rafael Benitez’s side were again poor and lost for the seventh time in their last nine matches with a 2-1 win over Arsenal on Monday, proving the false dawn.

Demari Gray scored the stoppage-time winner against Arsenal, but it was his mistake that helped Palace open the scoring in the 41st minute.

After seemingly surviving an attack, Gray inexplicably hits a pass to Michael Caine inside the area. Jordan Ayew was the first to take the loose ball and square it for Gallagher to shoot home from 12 yards (meters).

It was just a bonus for the hosts and they almost doubled their quota four minutes into the second half.

Wilfried Zaha caused more problems on the right side of the Toffees and moved to Gallagher with a cross, but the scorer saw a masterful header crossing the goal.
