Manama, Mar. 19 (BNA): The Information Technology Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has obtained the international ISO 27001 certificate – the international standard for information security management.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, received the Acting Director of the Information Technology Department, Rana Mohammed Hassan, who presented the international ISO 27001 certificate.
The department obtained the Information Technology Security Management Certificate after it started implementing the new ISO 27001 standards in its new version 27001: 2022.
Dr. Al-Zayani congratulated the department on this achievement, as the ministry embarked on a digital transformation to keep pace with the latest technological steps and provide a safe electronic environment.
The ambassador was attended by Dr. Muhammad Ali Bahzad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Consular and Administrative Affairs.
