Manama, June 20 (BNA) Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa met with a high-level delegation from the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), headed by the Executive Director of the Conference Secretariat, Ambassador Kirt Saribay.
He affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the member states of the conference in support of security, peace, tolerance and sustainable development in Asia and the world at large.
He praised the efforts of the Republic of Kazakhstan in support of CICA over the past three decades, praising its role as current chair in developing related mechanisms and activities.
For his part, Ambassador Saribay praised the role of the Kingdom of Bahrain in consolidating the partnership between Asian countries in various fields, noting its pioneering humanitarian initiatives in promoting dialogue among civilizations, cultures and religions.
