Manama, Mar. 7 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, received today the new Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Jassim Jassim Muhammad Al-Budaiwi, and congratulated him on his appointment, wishing him success in performing his duties.
The head of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Al-Budaiwi, pledged to continue efforts to advance the GCC march towards achieving the aspirations of Gulf leaders in supporting cooperation among member states.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed Gulf issues and ways to enhance economic and social cooperation to enhance the status of the Cooperation Council regionally and internationally.
The meeting was attended by the Assistant Undersecretary for Legislative and Legal Affairs of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Sultan bin Nasser Al-Suwaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director General Talal Abdul Salam Al-Ansari, and Head of the Gulf Cooperation Council Affairs Department Abdulaziz Muhammad Abdullah Al-Eid.
