Manama, February 16 (BNA) Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani met with US Ambassador to Bahrain Stephen C. Bundy.
This came after the ambassador met with a number of representatives of civil societies to discuss the internal affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Dr. Al-Zayani briefed the ambassador on Bahrain’s reservations about the meeting that took place and its repercussions that contradict international laws and norms in this regard.
He discussed with the ambassador the controls of diplomatic work that regulate the work of diplomatic missions in countries in accordance with the Vienna Convention.
The ambassador expressed his full understanding of everything being published by various parties in Bahrain in this regard, and the importance of relations between the two friendly countries.
Dr. Al-Zayani explained that the ministry will coordinate with diplomatic missions accredited to the Kingdom regarding the laws and procedures adopted regarding the responsibilities of diplomatic work in Bahrain in accordance with the Vienna Convention, which takes into account the sovereignty of states and non-interference in internal affairs.
