Foreign Minister holds discussion session with Greek counterpart

Manama, November 22 (BNA) The Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, held an official discussion session today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Greece, His Excellency Nikos Dendias, during his official visit to the city of Manama. Bahrain.

The two foreign ministers discussed the friendly relations between Bahrain and Greece, which are developing at all levels.

They also discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the political, economic and investment fields. They reviewed the current security and political developments and challenges facing the region. They also discussed regional and international issues of common interest.

The discussions focused on the deep-rooted friendly relations and mutual respect between the two friendly countries. The two ministers expressed their mutual keenness to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation, and stressed the importance of official visits in further consolidating relations between the two countries.

A memorandum of understanding was signed on political consultations between the two countries’ foreign ministries to develop bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues of common interest.

The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Greek ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain residing in the State of Kuwait, and Constantinos Piperigos and the Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomats.
