For students, fine arts spark joy, excitement and reflection

Manama, Dec. 12 (BNA): The Department of Fine Arts at Bahrain Preparatory/Secondary School organized a “Night of the Arts”, which included a theatrical performance of art students’ works and a play entitled “Charlie Brown’s Christmas”, which was presented by a musical group. and choir, drama, and piano students.

“Friends and family got involved in the art show and were delighted when students retell the classic festive story of Charlie Brown, the boy who finds it hard to find the reason for the season,” said Erica Wootton, Director of Music at Bahrain School.

“Fortunately, with inspiring musical performances and a little singing audience, Charlie has found joy and peace in friendship and love.”

The Night of the Arts, a celebration of the arts with a collaborative show, was held December 6 and 7 at the school.

In November, students of marching band, choir and piano participated in two interactive seminars organized by the USAF AFCENT and Swing Makes You Sing thanks to the support of the Bahrain School Parents Teachers Association and the Bahrain Jazz Festival.

Later, 13 students traveled to Germany for a week-long festival called Creative Connections that featured workshops ranging from 2D Art to Drama and Show Choir with 164 other students from DoDEA schools in Europe, Wootton added, highlighting how Bahrain Middle/Higher The school’s fine arts department flourished.
