Role description
The Financial Operations Specialist performs operational tasks (including transactions) in support of operations outside his or her area of responsibility, including more specialized activities that are performed to meet financial and accounting reporting requirements arising from legal obligations or internal global policies of SAP. A financial operations specialist has additional responsibilities and extensive knowledge of standard operations and related transactions, or special knowledge and specific areas.
Expectations and tasks
As part of his operational duties, the Financial Operations Specialist will take care of:
Posts journal entries, maintains and reconciles ledger accounts or monitors and supports these activities.
– Prepare, implement and monitor period closing activities
Ensure accuracy in financial records through proper execution of operational tasks
Monitoring and reporting of overall financial operations
– Setting period closing
Advanced monitoring and reporting
work experience
Work experience in a finance related field (minimum 3 years)
Work experience within a Shared Service Center (at least 1 year) preferred
Education and qualification
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
– Advanced skills in written and spoken English
– Proficiency in written and spoken language skills for other languages required in customer communication
