Washington, October 15 (BNA) Minister of Finance and National Economy Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa stressed the important role that the financial and banking sector plays in supporting the national economy and attracting investments. He stressed the importance of continuing to support this sector to enhance its role at all levels.
He was speaking during his meeting with Julie, the global head of the Public Sector Group in Citi, Monaco, on the sidelines of his participation in the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Washington, USA.
The meeting was held in the presence of the Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain Rashid Mohammed Al-Maraj and the Minister of Sustainable Development Noor bint Ali Al-Khalif.
Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa pointed to the importance of continuing to strengthen cooperation with international financial and banking institutions and exchange experiences in providing financial and banking services.
The two sides reviewed the latest global economic developments and issues of common interest.
