Finance Minister meets UK Financial Conduct Authority CEO

London, April 23 (BNA): Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa held a meeting with Nikhil Rati, CEO of the Financial Conduct Authority.

The meeting was also attended by the Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain, Rasheed Mohammed Al-Maraj, the Executive Chairman of the Economic Development Board, Khalid Ibrahim Humaidan, and the Director General of the Prime Minister’s Office, Hamad Yaqoub Al-Mahamid.

The Minister highlighted ways to enhance cooperation with the Financial Conduct Authority in the United Kingdom, stressing the importance of exchanging experiences and best practices in the field of monitoring financial markets and institutions.

During the meeting, the minister referred to Bahrain’s steps in supporting innovation and financial technology, and developing financial and investment services by continuing to work on finding solutions that support the economy.
