Manama, February 10 (BNA) The Ministry of Finance and National Economy celebrated today Bahrain Sports Day. A number of officials and employees participated in activities marking the annual occasion.
The ministry praised the Cabinet’s decision to declare February 10 a half-day working and direct ministries and government departments to allow their employees to participate.
The Ministry praised His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Action and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, First Deputy Chairman of the Council and Chairman of the General Sports Authority. The President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for their initiatives to transform sports into a public culture.
