Manama, Jan. 20 (BNA): The Ministry of Finance and National Economy has deposited the compensation payments into the accounts of citizens affected by the rains, based on the lists submitted by the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning.
This step came in line with the orders of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to assess the damages, disburse compensation payments and find sustainable infrastructure solutions for the rainwater cut off areas.
The Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning affirmed its keenness to implement the directives of His Highness the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister to estimate damages, study compensation claims and speed their disbursement.
The ministry studied the cases brought by the Northern Municipal Council, which include rain-affected citizens living in the Luzi region.
