Manama, November 21 (BNA) The Minister of Finance and National Economy Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said that Bahrain will continue to strengthen its competitive position as a financial and regional center in the region and attract investments to stimulate growth.
He noted the pivotal role of the financial and banking sectors in supporting economic growth, stressing the importance of redoubling efforts to enhance cooperation with international institutions.
This came when he received today the Resident Executive Director of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and the Regional Director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Yusuke Iseki.
The minister praised the cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Japanese Bank, stressing the importance of exchanging distinguished practices and international financial and banking expertise.
The two sides discussed joint cooperation, focusing on financial and banking issues of common interest, in addition to the latest global economic developments.
