Manama, October 12 (BNA) Minister of Finance and National Economy Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa stressed the importance of exchanging experiences in all fields to support development projects and attract promising investment opportunities to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He highlighted the vital role played by financial and banking institutions in creating a competitive environment, supporting the national economy and stimulating growth.
This came in statements made by the Minister during his remote meeting with the President of BNP Paribas, Jean Le Maire, on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
The two sides discussed the efforts made by financial and banking institutions to mitigate the repercussions of the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19) and support economic recovery and financial stability.
They also discussed developments in global financial markets, developments in the global economy and future opportunities, stressing the importance of consolidating cooperation and exchanging experiences.
