Seoul, Dec. 4 (BNA): Government data showed Sunday that South Korea’s exports of agricultural and food products jumped to a new record in the first 11 months of this year.
Outbound shipments of agricultural and food commodities reached $8.08 billion in the January-November period, Yonhap reported, up 4 percent from the same period last year, according to the agriculture and fisheries ministries.
The ministry said that instant noodle exports rose 14.5% year-on-year to reach $696 million in the cited period.
Outbound shipments of processed food, such as instant rice and rice cake, jumped 10.7 percent year-on-year, to $163 million, the ministry said.
The ministry expects the annual export volume of agricultural and food products to reach a record level in 2022, surpassing last year’s record of $8.56 billion.
