Export Bahrain signs MoU with Tradeling to onboard Bahrain-based SMEs on its MENA Platform

Manama, Dec. 7 (BNA) Bahrain Export has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Tradeling, the online marketplace focused on business-to-business (B2B) transactions in the Middle East and North Africa, to support Bahrain-based companies to export across the region through the platform.

Export Bahrain said in a statement that the agreement will contribute to increasing the volume of trade between Bahrain-based companies and international buyers and enhance and create awareness among local and regional buyers about Bahrain-based companies.

The MoU also supports companies in Bahrain to be part of trading programs and to benefit from services including inventory management, warehousing and customs clearance, as well as qualifying Bahrain-based sellers on Tradeling on a regular basis.

“This MoU with Tradeling provides valuable opportunities for companies in Bahrain to connect with B2B sellers and buyers around the world, offering them a variety of products in various categories,” said Sharif Abdul Khaleq, Acting CEO of Export Bahrain.

“It serves our strategic objective of enabling Bahrain-based companies, especially small and medium-sized businesses, to access openings that contribute to achieving international expansion and growth goals.”

She added that e-commerce has become an important growth tool for any company, and the Tradeling platform provides SMEs in Bahrain with an ideal gateway to a broader client base across the MENA region and is gaining wider recognition for its products and services.

“This will also have positive repercussions on export operations, as it will provide companies with the facilities needed to improve supply chains and enhance the flow of products and services. We look forward to seeing companies in Bahrain take advantage of this pioneering platform as a stepping stone towards regional and global growth.”
