England and Germany both beaten in Nations League

Rome, September 24 (BUS): It was a rough night for two teams expected to be contenders for the World Cup. England lost in Italy 1-0 and was relegated from the first division in the Nations League, Germany lost at home to Hungary by the same score.

Italy, who had not qualified for the World Cup finals in Qatar, took the lead at the San Siro when Giacomo Raspadori grabbed the ball over the top from Leonardo Bonucci and scored from the edge of the box among several England defenders.

Italian defender Federico Dimarco also hit the post in the rematch of last season’s European Championship final, which the Azzurri won, the Associated Press (AP) reported.

Tonight’s goal belonged to Hungary captain dám Szalai, who scored with a superb backhand in the 17th minute after a corner kick.

It seems that Germany captain Thomas Muller, who was watching Szalay, did not take into account that Szalay was trying to shoot on goal with his back into the net from an acute angle but the ball passed over the head of goalkeeper Marc Andre. III Stegen and within the remote center.

Hungary leads Group C with 10 points, followed by Italy (8), Germany (6) and England (2).

On Monday, Italy will visit Hungary, and England will host Germany in the last round of group matches. The group winner books a place in the finals in June.

Bosnia and Herzegovina advanced to League A after a 1-0 win over regional rival Montenegro, with Ermdin Demirovic scoring in extra time in the first half after being set up by Edin Deko.
