Roma, January 8 (BNA): Empoli stunned Lazio with a late brace to snatch a 2-2 draw in the Italian capital on Sunday.
Lazio appeared to have won the game when Mattia Zakani doubled their lead early in the second half, following a header by Felipe Anderson with less than two minutes left on the clock.
However, Francesco Caputo pulled one back for the visitors seven minutes from time and Rosvan Marin netted a shock stoppage-time equalizer, reports the Associated Press.
Lazio were three points behind fourth-placed Inter Milan, who were held to a 2-2 draw at Monza on Saturday.
Spezia moved four points clear of the relegation zone after drawing 0-0 at home with Lecce, while Salernitana drew 1-1 with Torino.
