Emirates sign agreement to fast-track visitor processing at Dubai airport

Dubai, Nov. 15 /BNA/: In cooperation with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Emirates Airlines is now offering international travelers the opportunity to speed up the airport experience by approving the use of biometric data.

The agreement was signed by Lieutenant General Mohamed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, and Adel Al Redha, Director of Operations at Emirates Airlines.

The first-of-its-kind agreement is a strategic partnership between the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs and Emirates Airlines, and is a collaborative effort to improve the innovative, digitally focused travel experience for visitors to Dubai.

The agreement improves passenger movement procedures within Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 and ensures a faster and more efficient airport experience for passengers on connecting flights, as well as those arriving in Dubai as their final destination, Emirates said.

Using biometric recognition technologies and GDRFA’s pre-populated biometric database to identify travelers at multiple points in the airport, passengers will be able to pass through Dubai International Airport Terminal 3, lounges, boarding and immigration at high speed as AI systems recognize facial features. unique and will be linked to her passport for instant identification.

International travelers will be able to take advantage of the service in 2023 by providing official approval with a few clicks through the Emirates app, at Emirates self-check-in kiosks, or in person at Emirates check-in desks.

Passengers are encouraged to download the Emirates app on their mobile phones to have all flight details at their fingertips.

Users can now track their baggage, as well as book and change flights, download a digital boarding pass for most destinations, check meals to be served on board, book their own chauffeur service, and even pre-select and plan movies to watch across the snow on a leisure trip.

All passengers can check-in online 48 hours prior to their flight using the online check-in option on the official Emirates website. At the airport, it will be easy to drop bags off at the designated baggage drop-off desks and download your digital boarding pass.

If departing from Dubai, passengers can check-in early and drop off bags at the airport 24 hours before departure, or 12 hours before departure if traveling to the US or Tel Aviv, then arrive at the airport and head directly to immigration.

Emirates check-in from home is an Emirates service available in Dubai and Sharjah and operated by DUBZ.

DUBZ agents complete the home, hotel or office check-in process and take bags to the plane while passengers enjoy the rest of the day and speed through the airport later.

Book and pay for the service at least 24 hours before the flight and proceed to airport check-in up to six hours before the flight departure.

A quick and easy option at Dubai International Airport is the Emirates self-check-in kiosks.

Passengers can follow the steps on the touch screen kiosk and complete the check-in process or operate the kiosk without touch using the mobile phone, it is possible to view the flight path, select a seat and add Emirates Skywards numbers at the same time and if already checked online there is also an option to use Baggage drop-off area for baggage check-in.
