Manama, April 20 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain will celebrate the first day of Eid Al-Fitr on Friday, corresponding to April 21, according to the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
The Ramadan Crescent Watching Committee, which met this evening at the council’s headquarters to receive news and testimonies, confirmed the birth of the Shawwal crescent.
The committee, which included scholars Sheikh Adnan bin Abdullah Al-Qattan, Dr. Farid Yaqoub Al-Muftah, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Muraikhi and Sheikh Rashid bin Hassan Al-Buainain, said that tomorrow, Friday, will be the first day of Eid. Eid Al-Fitr in Bahrain, based on testimonies from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, wishing Muslims around the world a Happy New Year on this occasion.
The Supreme Media Council extended its warmest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the royal family, the people of Bahrain and the Islamic world on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. mushrooms.
